Description:

Trans-1,4-Dioxane-2,3-diol is a synthetic compound with two primary amino groups. It is used in the synthesis of dna duplexes and glyoxal for the efficient method of synthesizing acetonides. The molecule also contains a hydroxyl group and an asymmetric carbon atom, which can be determined using nmr spectra. Trans-1,4-Dioxane-2,3-diol can be synthesized from methyl ethyl hydrogen sulfate or by enzymatic methods.
