Description:N-Ethyl-o-crotonotoluidide is a new drug for the treatment of infectious diseases. It inhibits cox-2 and has been shown to be effective in the treatment of chronic skin infections, such as erythrasma and intertrigo. N-Ethyl-o-crotonotoluidide is also effective against other types of bacteria, including methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The long term efficacy of N-Ethyl-o-crotonotoluidide in patients with chronic skin infections has not yet been established.
