This polymer can be conjugated with growth factor or antimicrobial peptides for use as a therapeutic agent or used in the production of antibodies against a particular protein. Fmoc-rink amide resin has been shown to increase epidermal growth factor (EGF) uptake into cells by targeting EGF receptors on the cell surface.
