Product Information
- 2-quinolinecarboxaldehyde
- 8-hydroxy-
- oxime
8-Hydroxyquinoline-2-carbaldehyde oxime is a heteronuclear complex that can be used as a catalyst to produce isonicotinic acid. It is a chelate ligand in which the metal ion binds to one of the two oxygen atoms of the oxime group. The metal ions are coordinated by 8-hydroxyquinoline-2-carbaldehyde oxime, which is coordinated by the metal ions. This coordination results in an increased reactivity of 8-hydroxyquinoline-2-carbaldehyde oxime for the alkali metal cations.
