Product Information
Kazinol B is a drug that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the mitochondrial membrane potential, which can be used for the treatment of microbial infections. Kazinol B inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and prevents oxidative injury by inhibiting the activity of COX-2. Kazinol B also has a synergic effect with glucose analogues and phorbol esters in inducing Ca2+ responses in rat neutrophils. This drug binds to ryanodine receptors and pharmacological agents, preventing Ca2+ release from intracellular stores. Kazinol B also binds to bacterial cells and inhibits the uptake of antimicrobial agents such as trifluoroacetic acid.
