Telazol is a brand name of 2-methylphenazine, which is also used as an anesthetic for large animals such as elephants, camels, and rhinos. 2-Methylphenazine has been found to be effective against cancer cells in vitro and has been shown to decrease tumor size in rats with induced breast cancer tumors. 2-Methylphenazine can be given intravenously or orally and may cause side effects such as psychosis or behavioral changes depending on dosage level.
