Description

4-Methylbenzylsulfonyl chloride is a nontoxic chemical compound that inhibits the growth of breast cancer cells. It has been shown to react with and destroy RNA, proteins, and enzymes that are involved in cell division. 4-Methylbenzylsulfonyl chloride also has been shown to have antitumour activity in breast cancer cells. This compound is active against the MDA-MB-231 cell line, which is a human breast cancer cell line derived from metastatic mammary adenocarcinoma.
