Piperlongumine is a natural compound that has been shown to have anti-cancer activity. It is a reactive compound found in Etoac extract, which is derived from the leaves of Piper longumine. This compound has been shown to induce apoptosis by activating pro-apoptotic proteins and inhibiting pro-survival proteins. In vitro assays have shown that piperlongumine can inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro, including both human and animal cells. The anti-cancer effect of this compound has also been demonstrated in vivo in mice with different types of cancer, including lung and breast cancer. Piperlongumine inhibits DNA binding activity and causes death of cancer cells by apoptosis pathway activation.
