AZD-7648 is a drug that inhibits the catalytic subunit of the DNA polymerase, which is required for DNA synthesis. AZD-7648 has shown to have an inhibitory effect on cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. It also has been shown to have an effect on solid tumours in mice, with some evidence of regression and prevention of escalation. Clinical studies show that AZD-7648 can be used as a single agent or as an adjuvant therapy. This drug has displayed a cell growth inhibition effect when administered at high doses and also displays homologous recombination repair (HRR) activity.
