    Product Information

    Name:Tetramethylammoniumfluoride
    Brand:Biosynth
Description:Tetramethylammoniumfluoride (TMAF) is a hydroxide that reacts with hydrogen fluoride to form tetramethylammonium hydroxide, which has been shown to be an effective catalyst for the polymerase chain reaction. TMAF is also capable of generating glycol ethers from epoxides and other oxygen-containing compounds. It reacts with zirconium oxide to form zirconium tetra-methylammoniumoxide, which can be used as a nuclear fuel moderator. TMAF has a high boiling point and low volatility, making it an ideal solvent for analytical methods such as gas chromatography. TMAF is soluble in water at room temperature and decomposes at temperatures above 180°C, which makes it suitable for use in the preparation of buffer solutions at physiological pH levels. The optimum concentration of TMAF varies depending on the desired pH level and the presence of chloride ions. In cytosolic conditions, TMAF forms a complex with
