Product Information
Luliconazole is a synthetic analogue of the natural product luliconin. It is a potent inhibitor of protein interactions and has been shown to be an effective anti-tumour agent in animal models. Luliconazole suppresses the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-2, IL-4, IL-6 and TNF-α, which are induced by various stimuli in cells. Luliconazole also inhibits ion channels that are important for cell growth and survival. It also has been shown to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in neutrophils and other cells through activation of the nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) oxidase complex. Luliconazole binds to a number of different proteins with high affinity, including the receptor tyrosine kinase EGFR and peptides containing lysine residues. Luliconazole is used as a research tool
