Product Information

Name:
CLP257
Description:

CLP257 is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the receptor for nerve growth factor (NGF) and blocks the NGF-mediated signaling pathway. This inhibition of neuronal function has been shown to reduce pain in animal models and can be used as a pharmacological treatment for spasticity. CLP257 is also being studied for its ability to protect neurons from HIV infection, which would be beneficial for people with AIDS. CLP257 has been shown to have no adverse effects on physiological levels of NGF, which suggests that it does not interfere with normal functioning of the nervous system. CLP257 binds to the receptor for NGF, blocking the NGF-mediated signaling pathway and reducing pain in animal models. It is also being studied as a pharmacological agent for spasticity. There are no known adverse effects associated with long-term exposure to CLP257.
