Product Information
- Calp2
Calp2 is a protein that regulates the intracellular calcium concentration. Calp2 is found in the ventral horn of the spinal cord, where it is involved in nerve injury and inflammatory cell activation. Calp2 has been shown to be upregulated during eye disorders, such as uveitis and retinitis, with calp2 knockout mice showing reduced inflammation. Calp2 also interacts with target enzymes such as TNF-α, which are responsible for inflammation. The protein can be conjugated to drugs or other molecules to target specific cells or tissues.
