Cornuside is a natural compound that is found in the fruits of Cornus. It is a dihydrochalcone, which has been shown to have hypoglycemic effects and inhibit the activity of 5-hmf. Cornuside also inhibits the enzyme activities involved in energy metabolism, such as glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and hexokinase.
