Product Information
1-Acetyl-2-methylindoline-5-sulphonyl chloride (AMSC) is a molecule that is active in glycolysis, the process by which glucose is broken down to produce energy. AMSC inhibits the formation of ATP and reduces the rate of glycolysis. This effect can be observed as a shift in the dimerization equilibrium towards monomers. AMSC also has anti-cancer effects, with its most potent activity on colorectal cancer cells. The prevalence of AMSC in human cells is dependent on the type of cell; for example, it is more prevalent in liver cells than in lung cells.
