Loreclezole is a low-potency sodium salt that has been used as a pharmacological agent. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of granule neurons, inhibiting brain function, and is also known to have inhibitory properties. Loreclezole inhibits the α1 subunit of the neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptor in the central nervous system, which leads to decreased levels of dopamine, norepinephrine and serotonin. This drug also has significant interactions with other drugs, such as autoimmune diseases.
