Product Information
MK8722 is a small molecule that activates the AMPK pathway to reduce cancer cell growth. It has been shown to inhibit glycogen synthesis and increase glucose uptake in muscle cells, as well as inhibit cancer cell growth by inhibiting protein synthesis. MK8722 has also been studied in combination with chemotherapy to determine if it can improve cancer therapy. In addition, MK8722 has been shown to activate the sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) enzyme, which may be responsible for its anticancer effects.
