Product Information
MAY0132 is a novel small molecule that has shown to inhibit influenza A virus replication in vitro. It has been shown to be active against a wide range of viruses such as HIV, Hepatitis C, and Ebola. MAY0132 inhibits the production of ATP in cells by inhibiting the enzyme adenylate kinase (AK) which is involved in cellular metabolism. This drug also inhibits the production of camp levels, which are important for activation of cells and virus replication. MAY0132 has also shown an inhibitory effect on syncytia formation and viral propagation. The mechanism of action for this drug is not yet known but it has been hypothesized that it may target proteins involved in DNA virus infection or other proteins involved in the initiation of infection.
