Product Information

Name:
PDD 00017272
Description:

PDD 00017272 is a potent, selective, and bioavailable activator of the human protein-tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) enzyme. PDD 00017272 has been shown to inhibit the activity of PTP1B in a dose-dependent manner. PDD 00017272 binds to the catalytic site of PTP1B and inhibits its function. PDD 00017272 exhibits no binding affinity for other human protein tyrosine phosphatases, including PTP1A, PTP2C, and PTP2B. The compound also does not compete with ATP or peptide substrates for binding to PTP1B. PDD 00017272 is a cell permeable inhibitor that can be used as a research tool or in pharmacological experiments to study the role of PTP1B in cellular processes such as signal transduction pathways and inflammatory responses.
