MS436 is a chemical compound that is currently in clinical trials for the treatment of cancer. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of CDK4/6, which are proteins that regulate cell cycle progression and play a role in cardiac physiology. MS436 also inhibits the HDAC enzyme, which plays a key role in regulating gene expression and cellular physiology. This drug has been shown to have anticancer activity in xenograft tumor growth studies. In addition, it has been shown to inhibit the bromodomain-containing protein BRD4, which is implicated in cancer development.
