Product Information
Bay-320 is a molecule inhibitor that functions as an endogenous chemical inhibitor of the 2OH-BNPP1 enzyme. This enzyme is important for the mitotic process and chromosomal segregation in cells. Bay-320 acts by tethering to the enzyme and inhibiting its activity, which results in mitotic arrest. Bay-320 also inhibits 2OH-BNPP1 activity catalytically, which leads to decreased levels of BNPP1 and increased levels of cyclin B. This inhibition leads to reduced spindle formation and chromosome movement during cell division.
