Naminidil is a pharmaceutical formulation that belongs to the group of factor receptor antagonists. It can be used for the treatment of bowel disease, cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease. Naminidil has been shown to inhibit the growth of skin cells in culture by binding to epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptors on the cell surface. It also inhibits EGF-induced DNA synthesis in cultured human keratinocytes and promotes wound healing in mice. Naminidil is insoluble in water but can be reconstituted with a diluent such as sterile water or saline solution.
