AMBMP is a small molecule that inhibits the transcriptional activity of β-catenin. AMBMP can be used to treat cancer, autoimmune diseases, and other conditions related to aberrant β-catenin signaling. AMBMP has been shown to inhibit the expression of osteogenic genes (e.g., Runx2) and growth factor genes (e.g., IGF-1), which are linked to tumor progression and metastasis in various cancers. It also decreases the expression of prognosis suppressor genes (e.g., p53) and cell signaling pathways (e.g., Wnt/β-catenin). AMBMP has been shown to have anti-tumor properties in both cell culture models and animal models for prostate cancer, colon cancer, breast cancer, and leukemia.
