Product Information

Name:
(D)-PPA 1
Description:

(D)-PPA 1 is a synthetic molecule that has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells. It binds to epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and prevents ligand-dependent activation of the epidermal growth factor receptor. This inhibition can lead to an antitumor response. (D)-PPA 1 has also been shown to have anti-angiogenic properties, which inhibits tumor vasculature by inhibiting vascular endothelial cell proliferation and migration. In addition, this agent induces autophagy, leading to cancer cell death through apoptosis or necrosis in vitro. This agent is also able to induce sonodynamic effects at nanosized levels that are not possible with other agents and can be used in the treatment of cancer microenvironments.
