Product Information
TL4-12 is a synthetic, immunomodulatory drug that has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in vivo. TL4-12 binds to the receptor for the cytokine IL-2 and downregulates its signalling. It also inhibits ikzf1, a transcription factor that regulates cell cycle progression and cell proliferation, which may contribute to its antitumor effects. The mechanism of action of TL4-12 has not been fully elucidated, but it has been shown to inhibit the growth of cells in culture. This drug is currently being evaluated in clinical trials as a treatment for hepatitis C virus infection and cancer. Constitutive activation of TL4-12 leads to inhibition of constitutive activation of other signalling pathways such as JAK/STAT3 and NFκB.
