Product Information
MSP3 is a protein that is produced by the lactococcus bacteria and has been shown to reduce insulin sensitivity in animals. It also inhibits the antibody response to hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and HIV infection, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the function of T cells. The MSP3 protein also has an inhibitory effect on other molecules involved in infectious diseases, such as inhibition of bacterial growth by binding to DNA-dependent RNA polymerase or hydrolysis by esterases or glucuronidases. The molecular weight of MSP3 is about 10 kDa, and it contains a sequence that is conserved among different strains of lactococcus.
