Product Information
Phytosphingosine acetamide is a tyrosinase inhibitor that decreases the production of melanin by inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase. It inhibits the production of fatty acids, which are required for the synthesis of keratin and other skin-cell components. Phytosphingosine acetamide also has an apoptotic effect on mammalian cells and inhibits enzyme activities in cells. These effects may be due to its ability to inhibit amines, which are needed for cellular proliferation. This product also has an inhibitory effect on acid formation, which is created by activated ca2+ ionophores.
