Product Information
AZD 8186 is a novel chemotherapeutic agent with a mechanism of action that is distinct from other approved chemotherapeutics. It has been shown to inhibit tumor progression in mouse models of breast cancer. AZD 8186 binds to extracellular matrix proteins, such as collagen, and inhibits the growth of cancer cells by disrupting their ability to form new blood vessels. This drug also inhibits the formation of new bone tissue and increases the rate at which bone tissue is degraded, which may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis in cancer cells.
