Product Information
CEP-33779 is a monoclonal antibody that binds to human epidermal growth factor (EGF) with high affinity and specificity. In vitro studies have shown that this drug inhibits the proliferation of hematopoietic cells, including erythrocytes, lymphocytes, and granulocytes. CEP-33779 also has inhibitory effects on inflammatory bowel disease through inhibition of p-glycoprotein. It is not active against bacterial cell walls or the virus that causes AIDS. The mechanism of action for this drug is unclear at this time.
