Product Information
Pocapavir is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the receptor binding domain of the virus, preventing the virus from attaching to host cells. It is used for treatment and prevention of infectious diseases caused by viruses such as influenza A, B, C, and D. Pocapavir has been shown to be effective against wild-type viruses in CD-1 mice. Pocapavir also has broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against bacteria and fungi. The drug is an acyclic nucleoside phosphonate that inhibits viral RNA synthesis by competitive inhibition of polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Pocapavir can be used as a diagnostic tool to differentiate between primary influenza A and B infections.
