Product Information

Name:
KYP 2047
Description:

KYP 2047 is a new drug that inhibits the activity of enzymes in energy metabolism. It has been shown to reduce locomotor activity and neuronal death in animal studies, which may be due to its ability to induce autophagy. KYP 2047 also has anti-inflammatory effects and has been shown to be effective against disease activity in cell culture. Its low bioavailability means it is not suitable for oral administration, but is instead administered by intravenous infusion or intraperitoneal injection. Research has shown that KYP 2047 can cross the blood-brain barrier, making it an interesting candidate for treatments of neurological disorders. In vivo experiments have shown that KYP 2047 can increase dopamine levels in the brain, suggesting it could be helpful for Parkinson's disease treatment.
