Product Information

Name:
MF-438
Description:

MF-438 is a new anticancer drug that has shown promising results in inhibiting the growth of skin cancer cells. MF-438 activates the metabolic pathways in cancer cells and blocks cell signaling pathways. It also inhibits tumor angiogenesis by suppressing the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and its receptor, VEGFR2. This drug was tested on a variety of carcinoma cell lines and showed strong antitumor activity. It has also been shown to inhibit the formation of atherosclerotic lesions caused by high cholesterol levels in mice, which may be related to its ability to reduce LDL-cholesterol levels. MF-438 is not toxic for fetal bovine cells and can be used as an alternative to fetal calf serum when culturing certain types of cells.
