SAG 21k is a solid catalyst that has been shown to increase the production of biodiesel by hydrogenating vegetable oils. SAG 21k is also able to improve the yield of biodiesel by up to 30% and reduce the use of water in the process. The activity of this catalyst is due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds with fatty acid molecules in oil, which allows for better air entrainment and easier separation. This product is not a drug but it does have clinical relevance, as it has been shown to increase the glomerular filtration rate in patients with nephrology dialysis or kidney disease. The best way to take this medication is on an empty stomach, at least one hour before or two hours after eating.
