Product Information

Name:
MDK34597
Description:

MDK34597 is a prodrug that is converted to its active form, MDK34797, in the body. MDK34797 inhibits cell proliferation by blocking the enzyme tyrosine kinase. This drug can be used as a cancer treatment or as an agent for treating disorders of cell proliferation.

The 6-fluoro-3-indoxyl-beta-D-galactopyranoside is a rifamycin that belongs to the class of antituberculosis drugs and has been shown to have bactericidal activity against mycobacterium and also inhibits bacterial growth by binding to DNA dependent RNA polymerase and prevents transcription and replication. The high frequency of human activity has been shown using a patch clamp technique on human erythrocytes. Rifapentine also specifically binds to markers expressed at high levels in Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains (e.g., ESX-1 secretion system protein) and inhibits cell growth in culture.
