Product Information
AT406 is a novel, potent and selective small molecule that targets apoptosis-related proteins. It has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation and induce apoptosis in vitro and in vivo. AT406's mechanism of action is by binding to the fatty acid binding domain of Apoptotic Protease-Inducible Protein (AIP) and preventing it from binding to its natural substrate, AIP-1, thus inhibiting the activity of AIP. This leads to caspase activation and apoptosis. AT406 has also been shown to exhibit anti-tumor effects against colorectal adenocarcinoma cells when used at suboptimal concentrations.
