Product Information
Mitopq is a mitochondrial protein that plays an important role in the regulation of cellular metabolism. Mitopq binds to the mitochondrial membrane potential and increases the levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Mitopq also binds to ATP and regulates its availability. The binding of mitopq to ATP may be facilitated by a dinucleotide phosphate, which is a small molecule that can regulate the function of many proteins. Mitopq has been shown to have a protective effect on cardiac cells when exposed to physiological levels of Ca2+. Mitopq also binds to cytosolic proteins and decreases their activity.
