GSK-lsd1 is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the cell nuclei and blocks prognosis of inflammatory cells. It targets nuclear progenitor cells and prevents them from becoming inflammatory cells. GSK-lsd1 is used in vitro to study the effects of cancer, histone methylation, and tissue injury on the inflammatory genes. This drug has been shown to inhibit muscle hypertrophy by interfering with muscle growth factor signaling pathways. GSK-lsd1 can be conjugated with drugs such as doxorubicin or paclitaxel to target these therapies to specific tumor sites in vivo.
