6-Methoxy-2-(5-methyl-2-furyl)-N-[(1-methyl-4-piperidyl)methyl]-7-(3-pyrrolidin-1-ylpropoxy)quinolin-4-amine is a research tool used to study the ion channels and receptor interactions. It is an inhibitor of protein interactions and receptor ligands. 6MMPQ has been shown to inhibit the activity of TRPV1, TRPA1, and TRPM8 receptors in vitro. In vivo studies have also shown that 6MMPQ can inhibit nociception in mice. This compound is not suitable for human consumption because it does not have a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for use in humans.
