Product Information
AZD 7762 Hydrochloride is a potent inhibitor of the cyclin-dependent kinases CDK2, CDK4, and CDK6. This drug has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. AZD 7762 Hydrochloride binds to the ATP-binding site of the kinase, thereby inhibiting its catalytic activity. The IC50 values for this drug were found to be 0.002 µM for CDK2 and 0.006 µM for CDK6. It also inhibits the production of both cyclins D1 and D3, which are required for cell cycle progression in G1 phase.
CDKs are involved in many cellular processes including DNA replication, transcription, translation and protein synthesis. This inhibition may lead to tumor regression or death by blocking tumor growth through cell cycle arrest or apoptosis induction.
