Product Information
N-Acetylpurinomycin is a synthetase expressed in mammals. It hydrolyzes N6-acetyladenine, N6-acetyladenosine, and N6-acetylguanine to adenine, guanine, and hypoxanthine. N-Acetylpurinomycin has been shown to have antitumour activity in animal models. The synthesis of this enzyme is regulated by the regulatory protein HAPR1 and is induced by hypoxic conditions. This enzyme can be used as a marker for cellular proliferation and hypoxia. The chromatographic method for purifying this enzyme has been developed from mammalian cells.
