Product Information

Name:
LY 288513
Synonyms:
  • 1-Pyrazolidinecarboxamide, N-(4-bromophenyl)-3-oxo-4,5-diphenyl-, (4S,5R)-
Description:

LY 288513 is a novel, potent, and selective 5-HT1A receptor agonist. It was designed to be a potential treatment for tumors and cancer by binding selectively to the 5-HT1A receptor. LY 288513 has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in animals treated with this drug. LY 288513 can also inhibit the secretion of prolactin from the anterior pituitary gland in female rats, which may be due to its effect on the ovaries. These effects may be due to binding experiments using radioligand binding assays and diazepam as a positive control. LY 288513 has also been shown to have antitumor effects in pancreatic cancer cells when used chronically.
