Product Information
ID 8-d3 is a polymyxin B antibiotic that has been shown to inhibit the growth of influenza virus and chronic myeloid leukemia cells. It binds to the benzodiazepine receptor, which is found in cellular proteins that regulate the production of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). ID 8-d3 also inhibits intracellular cGMP synthesis by binding to sequences in the proximal tubules of kidney cells. This drug may be effective against cancer due to its ability to inhibit cell proliferation.
