Description:
Laniquidar is a drug that is used in cancer chemotherapy. It is a substrate for the multidrug transporter protein P-glycoprotein (P-gp) and acts as an efflux protein to minimize the uptake of other chemotherapeutic drugs. Laniquidat has been shown to be effective against hematopoietic cells and cancer cells, but not against normal cells. This drug also has drug interactions with many other drugs, such as erythromycin, ciprofloxacin, quinidine, and levofloxacin.
