FASN-IN-3 is a peptide that inhibits fatty acid synthase, an enzyme that catalyzes the synthesis of long chain fatty acids from acetyl-CoA and malonyl-CoA. This inhibition leads to decreased production of lipids, which may be useful for the treatment of obesity. FASN-IN-3 has also been shown to activate protein interactions, such as receptor activation, ligand binding and antibody binding.
