Lerociclib dihydrochloride is a kinase inhibitor that inhibits the activity of protein kinases. It is used as a treatment for cancer and other diseases, such as non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, and multiple myeloma. The drug binds to ATP-binding sites in the active site of the target protein kinase and blocks ATP binding. This prevents phosphorylation of the target protein by the protein kinase and thereby inhibits its function. Lerociclib dihydrochloride has been shown to be effective against many cancers with different genetic backgrounds. The drug is well tolerated with a low incidence of side effects at an effective dose.
