Product Information
TrkC is a member of the neurotrophin receptor family and is expressed in neurons. It has been shown to be a high-affinity receptor for nerve growth factor (NGF) and is necessary for NGF-induced neuronal differentiation. TrkC also binds to the neurotrophin NT3, and this binding may play a role in NT3-induced neuronal differentiation. TrkC has also been shown to bind with high affinity to neurturin, which may play a role in its survival signaling function. The antibody against TrkC can be used as a research tool for studying protein interactions, and it can also be used as an inhibitor for studying ligand activation.
