It is used for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain, pancreatic pain, and chronic inflammatory pain. The mechanism of action of this drug is not known, but it may be due to its ability to inhibit actin filament assembly. Clinical studies have shown that A-889425 can treat chronic spontaneous pain in humans.
