HO-3867 is a natural compound that has significant cytotoxic activity in leukemia cells. HO-3867 has been shown to have minimal toxicity with no observable effects in mice at doses of up to 1000mg/kg, and it is not mutagenic. HO-3867 has also been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells by targeting cyclin D2, an important protein that regulates cell division. It also binds to DNA and prevents polymerase chain reaction amplification of dna sequences. In addition, this compound has been shown to have anti-cancer activity in breast cancer cells resistant to other drugs.
