Almokalant is a small molecule that binds to and inhibits the activity of the epsilon subunit of the voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channels. Inhibition of these channels leads to an increase in neuronal excitability, which may be useful for treatment of epilepsy or neuropathic pain. Almokalant is a high-purity, water soluble compound with a purity >99%. It can be used as a research tool and as an inhibitor in cell biology and experimental pharmacology studies.
