Product Information
Y-33075 is a potent and selective antagonist of the ion channel TRESK. It has been shown to inhibit the activation of TRESK by peptide agonists, and to block TRESK currents in Xenopus oocytes. Y-33075 is also an inhibitor of p38 MAP kinase, which is involved in the regulation of apoptosis.
TRESK is a member of the transient receptor potential (TRP) ion channel family that includes TRPC, TRPM and TRPV channels. The TRESK channel is activated by membrane stretch and functions as a mechanosensor for cell volume regulation. The protein encoded by this gene may be involved in regulating cell volume or affecting apoptosis.
